Geotextiles
Geotextiles are fabrics used for numerous geo-applications including separation of dissimilar materials, soil reinforcement, filtration, drainage and cushioning. Geotextiles are divided into two broad categories: woven and nonwoven. Each category has its own advantages. Woven geotextiles typically have high tensile stregnth, high modulus and low elongation. Nonwoven geotextiles are more permeable with high conformability due to their high elongation.
